Pada suatu hari yang cerah (oppss...mungkin mendung hari tuu? aku dah lupa), aku entah bagaimana diketemukan dengan sebuah kalendar daripada sekian banyak kalendar yang terdampar di sekian banyak meja-meja dalam ruang pejabat yang hambar.

Menariknya kalendar ini adalah kerana lukisannya, Okay, mungkin tidak cukup menarik bagi sesetengah orang.

Lukisan ini dihasilkan oleh John Wong. Siapakah John Wong itu? aku tidak tahu. Maaf kerana kecetekan pengetahuan amku. Err..John Woo tu macam dah biasa dengar. Hidup lagikah John Woo?

Kalendar ini dihasilkan melalui kerjasama John Wong dengan Shelter Home of Children. Melalui Google, aku dibawa ke  http://melvinchan.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html.

Melalui halaman Melvin itu pula, aku dibawa ke Shelter Home of Children di http://www.shelterhome.org/ .

Mungkin sudah terlambat untuk memiliki kalendar 2011 yang berharga RM10 ini. Sekalipun kalendar ini sudah kehilangan maknanya menjelang tahun yang sudah hampir berakhir ini, RM10 tidak akan hilang maknanya bagi kanak-kanak di Shelter Home.

Mungkin tahun depan ada kalendar yang lebih menarik.

On one sunny day (oppss...maybe that day was rainy? I am not so sure), I somehow saw a calendar, a particular calendar, among the many calendars on the many tables in this very office.

What had interested me is the paintings on the calendar. It's nostalgic, at least for me, it's like the effect of Lat's Kampung Boy. Okay, fine, maybe not so nostalgic and not so interesting for some people.

The calendar is collaboration of John Wong and Shelter Home of Children. Who is John Wong? A renowned artist? I dont know. I know John Woo, and some con-artists, but not this John Wong.

So, with the help of Google, I came to Melvin's blog at http://melvinchan.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html ,
 and through his page, found Shelter Home of Children at http://www.shelterhome.org/

This calendar, if you want, will only cost you RM10.

To buy a 2011 calendar at this time, in July, well, maybe not so worthy. Yes, but no, the calendar maybe will serve you less, but the RM10 will means a lot for the children at Shelter Home.

So, why dont you give 1-2 bucks if you have any, and if you are near by, pay a visit for moral support,at least.

Keep yourself updated, maybe more interesting calendar will be out next year!
